FOUNDER - FACILITATOR
I was born and raised in the Portland area, I have 5 children and an amazing wife. I love to spend time with my family and travel. I am a curious person and love to learn. While I am still a work in progress, I am much happier now than I was throughout a good portion of my life. I had expectations of myself that were hard to meet and harder to maintain. I became anxious and depressed. I lost sight of what was truly important to me and was generally unhappy. After years of coping mechanisms that led me to treat myself, my body, my friends, and my family poorly, I knew I needed a change. However, after years of coping mechanisms and pharmaceuticals I saw no clear path to the happiness I longed for. It’s strange how logically we can walk through all the things we should be doing to improve our lives and our relationships, but for some reason these things rarely stick.
When I found psychedelics, I found a path. In a therapeutic setting, I was able take those logical steps and feel them in my chest. They became who I am. What I found was love for myself, compassion and understanding for others and a desire to be a better, more loving person. With a newfound love for myself, I started treating my body like it was a part of me. I now exercise daily (something that I loathed), I rarely drink (which I loved) and am a better father and husband. What I am most excited about? I get to set an example of how to overcome unhappiness and be at peace for my children.
I do not know how psilocybin will find you. I am only an example of what some reading, reflecting, and thoughtful psilocybin work can accomplish. I am excited to share my story and hope it inspires you to step on the path towards happiness.
